1. Fill Out Our Form

Fill out our 30-60 second form to see if your home qualifies (less than 200 Amps).

2. Apply with SCE (Must have completed Step 1 above)

Follow our guide on how to apply on the Southern California Edison application.

1. Visit: https://evhome.sce.com/

2. Click on “Apply” button at top of page.

3. Log In to your SCE Account or Create a New Account

4. Click “New” Application

5. Fill out the Application:
Part 1: For Q2, select Prequalifying. For Q3, select Income-Based. For Q4, select a Public Assistance Program you are enrolled in, or select ‘I am not enrolled in a public assistance program’.
Part 2: Enter your applicant information, installation address, and property owner information.
Part 3: Upload supporting documents, including:
– Government Issued ID
– Proof of Public Assistance/Participation (Food Stamps, WIC, etc)
– Signed EV Charger Attestation (Download Here)
Part 4: Review your Application & Submit.

IMPORTANT:
6. In 2-10 days, SCE should send you an email regarding your eligibility. If pre-approved, you will be given a 10-15 pre-qualification code that will be in the email. Once received, you will need to contact us so we can continue the next steps of your application.

1. Visite: https://evhome.sce.com/

2. Haga clic en el botón “Solicitar” en la parte superior de la página.

3. Inicie sesión en su cuenta de SCE o cree una nueva cuenta.

4. Haga clic en “Nueva solicitud”.

5. Complete la solicitud:
Parte 1: Para el P2, seleccione “Precalificación”. Para el P3, seleccione “Basado en ingresos”. Para el P4, seleccione un programa de asistencia pública en el que esté inscrito o seleccione “No estoy inscrito en un programa de asistencia pública”.
Parte 2: Ingrese la información del solicitante, la dirección de la instalación y la información del propietario.
Parte 3: Cargue los documentos de respaldo, incluyendo:
– Identificación oficial
– Comprobante de asistencia pública/participación (Cupones de alimentos, WIC, etc.)
– Certificado de cargador de VE firmado (Descárguelo aquí)
Parte 4: Revise su solicitud y envíela.

IMPORTANTE:
6. En un plazo de 2 a 10 días, SCE le enviará un correo electrónico con información sobre su elegibilidad. Si recibe la preaprobación, recibirá un código de precalificación de 10 a 15 caracteres que se incluirá en el correo electrónico. Una vez recibido, deberá contactarnos para que podamos continuar con los siguientes pasos de su solicitud.

3. Get Installed!

If approved, you will receive a Prequalification ID (usually within 2-10 days). The prequalification ID will be a 10-15 digit ID provided to you in the email. If you can find the email, please check your Spam folder, Updates folder, or search “SCE” in your email.

We will then handle the permits, the panel upgrade, and the charger install.

FAQ

1. You must be the homeowner. If you’re a renter, you can have the homeowner apply for the program by giving them the link to this page or by providing an owner’s authorization.
2. You must be an SCE residential customer.
3. The DAC Rebate requires residency in a disadvantaged community (as defined by CalEnviraScreen 4.0) or Map View.
4. The existing electric panel must be less than 200 amps.
5. The existing electric panel cannot be shared with another dwelling.
6. Install Requirements will include for a technician to install the following:
– 200-amp panel install.
– 240v circuit install.
– Level 2 EV charger install or planned within 180 days.
7. Household Income: You must be <80% AMI or enrolled in a qualified public assistance program, such as:
– Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance
– CalFresh/SNAP (food stamps)
– CalWorks (TANF) / Tribal TANF
– Drive Clean in the San Joaquin Replace Program
– Head Start Income Eligible (tribal only)
– Low-income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
– Medi-cal (income-qualified Medi-Cal only)
– Medi-cal for Families (Healthy Families A&B)
– Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
– Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, & Children (WIC)

If you have received a pre-qualification ID, the following is required to be installed by us for you to participate in the program:
– 200-amp panel install.
– 240v circuit install.
– Level 2 EV charger install or planned within 180 days.

1. Proof of Identity
– Driver’s License matching the installation address (SCE bill may be requested)
2. EV Charger Attestation
– Confirms charger will be installed within 180 days. You can download and fill out the form that you will to the SCE application.

3. Proof of Public Assistance
– See Eligibility Requirements FAQ or Sample Supporting Documents in the SCE Application.
4. Household Summary Form
– This form collects information to determine if an applicant qualifies for the income-based rebate based on household size and income limits.
5. 4506-C Form
– This form is used to obtain a copy of the tax return transcript. This form must be submitted for everyone 18 and over.

After you have submitted your application to SCE, within 2-10 days, you should receive an email from SCE stating if you’ve been prequalified or not.

If you have been pre-qualified for the SCE Charge Ready Program, you will receive an email stating you’ve been prequalified, which will contain your Prequalification ID.

Once you receive this ID, you need to contact us by phone or email and give us the prequalification ID so we can schedule your installation.

Yes, if the park is in SCE’s Mobile Home Park Upgrade Program or the unit has its own SCE service, it may qualify.

Shared panels or shared yard space (including ADUs) are not eligible.

200-amp panels or panels lacking space/downgraded are not eligible for the rebate.
